Featured in d'OZ's 2011 25th anniversary album here is a very attractive work of a South American flavour.
Marked vivo and in the key of A minor, the first part of Alla Cubana takes the form of a series of brief scales each one leading onto a short syncopated chord sequence. Half-way through things brighten up where a change of key to A major occurs but this section basically keeps the same rhythmic sequence with slight alterations here and there.
For the player of Intermediate level this would make good study material as well as for use in the informal concert setting.
