An Idea "Passacaglia for Eli"

with a newly added Preamble
Eli Kassner was one of the kindest and most witty men I've ever met. He would constantly say, "I have an idea." His wife, Ann, would always laugh. That's why I named the short piece I dedicated to him in April 1999, on Eli's 75th birthday, "An Idea."
A few days ago—allowing my imagination to wander—I composed a Preamble continuing that tribute, now to his memory. Musically, this passage is like an "obstacle course" that ends, thankfully, peacefully.
