This book contains 50 easy falsetas or melodic phrases in Soleá form; it is best suited for guitarists who are just now venturing into the world of flamenco but already have some basic knowledge of fundamental flamenco guitar techniques. 

Easy Soleá puts special emphasis on the basic Soleá arpeggios, as well as the escobillas (section of a dance featuring an extended “tap dance” solo), cierres (phrase closings), rajeos (rasgueado strumming techniques), ligados (slurs), trémolo and picado techniques, plus alzapua, the “raised thumb” technique as applied to the Soleá palo or song form. 

By combining the different falsetas and techniques presented in this book, the novice flamenco guitarist can not only build a complete and authentic sounding Soleá solo composition but use the same techniques for vocal accompaniment.

Written in standard notation and tablature with examples of Soleá lyrics, a list of “Recommended Listening” resources and online audio tracks performed by the author.
