Cello Suites 1, 2, & 5
[Solo Guitar] [Book & CD]
also da Milano/Bach - Fantasias & Chorales
With regard to the instruments for which he wrote, Bach was a composer with a wide range of interests and, moreover, when designing a piece, was not fixed a priori on the execution of a specific body of sound. Nowadays, the suites for solo cello are played on a wide variety of instruments, including the guitar. The arranger added counterpoint parts to the three suites. The accompanying CD (also available as a single CD) reflects the musical text and fingerings of the printed edition exactly.
