Duo Concertant, Op. 16
[Guitar & Piano]
Editions Orphée continues to bring to light "unknown" works by 19th century guitarist de Fossa. In Duo Concertant, de Fossa worked closely with composer Ramon Carnicer i Battle, who had written an alternate overture for his staging of the Rossini Barber of Seville, since Rossini had already used that overture in previous operas. Editor Ophee: "The resulting arrangement from this collaboration give[s] us a truly concertante duo, where both parts are able to display a dazzling virtuosity with fairly undemanding technical prerequisites." For advanced performers
