The first line on page 2 is a bird song - a honeyeater, which I heard in Australia in 1980. So, it should be played simply - without human expression.
In all these four From a bird pieces theree are small changes to the original versions I recorded on the CD From a bird: for example the middle of No. 1 is longer - and in No. 3, lines 5, 6 and 7 of page 2 are different.
