Fuga Elegiaca
"The "Preludio" was composed on Sept. 27th, 1967 and the "Fuga" was completed on Oct. 18th, 1967. Guitar Review published the work in their issue number 31 in May, 1969. The work is without opus number, but is one of the last Castelnuovo-Tedesco wrote before his death in April 1968."
The transcriber of this version, guitar lecturer and distinguished teacher Ron Purcell, studied composition with Castelnuovo-Tedesco. This version of the beautiful Fuga Elegiaca for guitar duo in memory of Ida Presti had the composer's approval.
