Fur Eliot
[CD]
Acoustic Guitar Magazine's 1997 CD Hit List (essential recordings)
"...a very honest presentation, where Fisk lets everything show. The best of that is superb." - Heuwell Tircuit, in Tune Magazine
"...beautifully paced and deeply satisfying. The Martin is quite simply the best recording ever made of the piece&when Fisk plays these composers, the earth moves and the heavens open. This is guitaring at its best. Highest Recommendation." - John Schneider, Soundboard Magazine
"An exemplary interpretation of Frank Martin's "Quatre Pieces breves". Eliot transmits an energy and a surprising "punch", at the same time creating brilliant moods. In his own way, he is exceptional." - Florian Conil, Les Cahiers de la Guitare
Originally produced as an LP by Germany's Gitarre & Laute label in 1982, Eliot Fisk's highly acclaimed, inspired program went out of print all too quickly. GSP is proud to bring one of Fisk's finest efforts back from near obscurity.
Fur Eliot is a standard classical program showing the early promise of one of the worlds acknowledged masters of guitar. As a prelude to his later success with his Billboard-charting Music Masters release of 1994, Fisk plays his original transcriptions of four of the Paganini Caprices. Digitally Remastered for CD.
