Guit. I-III, bass, cb. Here is a worthwhile publication of a Giga from Vivaldi's op 13. The music is arranged for three guitars, bass guitar and contra bass guitar. As usual from this publisher both score and individual parts are well printed. The arrangement, which needs about grade three standard to sound well, has some nice touches; the percussive beginning on guitar two is really attractive. The arranger manages to spread the texture over quite a wide register with the help of the two bass instruments. Sadly, not everyone has these resources, but nevertheless worth trying on maybe two bass guitars? - John Arran, Classical Guitar Magazine, Decembre 2001)
