Grand Sonata in A
Paganini was not only the well-known violin virtuoso, but also mastered the guitar. Originally composed for violin and guitar, the richness and freshness of invention, the balanced structure and the delightful guitar-technical tasks suggested a version for solo guitar. Rhythmically and harmonically indispensable turns of the violin part were also incorporated accordingly. The second movement, the romance, was published by the editor in this form (UE13068) as early as 1960.
