Habanera Cubana
[Solo Guitar]
The habanera was born around 1841 in Havana. The Spanish exported it to Europe by transforming its character, making it prouder, more assertive, sometimes even dramatic by emphasizing the bass more.
I wanted, with Habanera Cubana , to rediscover its original spirit, made of flexibility, sweetness and voluptuousness, a true song of love, sometimes nostalgic, turned towards others.
Francis Kleynjans
The author himself presents this work to us in which he wanted to rediscover the original spirit of the habanera, born around 1841 in Havana, made of flexibility, sweetness and voluptuousness, a true love song, sometimes nostalgic, turned towards others. Let's just say that he succeeds completely.
