Hexachord 1 & 2
A variable, mobile-like work based on the principle of the dynamically closed form; the variation on the one hand and the repetition on the other are brought into a new relation to one another. The grip notation used here is a modification of the tablature notation. The version for two guitars resembles an isorhythmic canon of pre-classical music, which is subjected to a series of mirror-like permutations as the individual structures progress. The study of this work gives the guitarist access to freedom of interpretation, notation and form in new music.
