The City of Columns was composed in 2004 at the request of guitarist Joaquín Clerch. The title makes direct reference to the essay of the same name written in 1970 by Alejo Carpentier. A vision of Havana itself with a high emotional charge, which evokes in each of its parts some of the most emblematic places of the city.
