[Solo Guitar]

"This is an altogether lovely work with a lightness of touch and a wistful quality to its melody and harmonies that make it immediately appealing. It has that style of open harmony work that makes it sound a little border-crossing, stylistically speaking, which is not a bad thing at all. The melody is wonderful and one that really grabs you after only one play. There are plenty of little pull-offs that really create an emotional impact; placed as they are in the middle of some wonderfully evocative harmonies. I could really see this piece making an impact on stage, and indeed anywhere where a good tune is required. It is not difficult to play but one does need a certain maturity of technique in one or two places; not that that should put anyone off trying it, because it truly is worth the effort. An altogether lovely piece." Chris Dumigan (Classical Guitar Magazine)
