[3 Guitars] [score & parts]

Liliana, written in the style of a milonga, is a rhythmic and entertaining new work from this excellent composer. Essentially it is a dialogue between guitars 1 and 2 with the third guitar underpinning everything and acting basically as "anchor-man". There is much to enjoy here with plenty of rhythmic activity going off in all directions and no let up in the vivaciousness of this work light up to the very end. Liliana would suit ensembles of around the grade 6 standard. The edition comes with complete score and separate parts for each player. Steve Marsh (Classical Guitar Magazine)
