The fourth and final volume in this successful series, 'Romantic Guitar Anthology' is a graded repertoire book suitable for advanced students, of c. 8-10 years of playing experience. Well-established teaching pieces by leading 19th Century composers Sor and Coste are presented alongside more rarely available works by Jose Ferrer and Johann Kaspar Mertz. This volume includes several pieces which would make effective and charming concert pieces. Composer biographies and extensive teaching notes on each piece are included, together with a CD recording of all the works in the anthology, performed by the series editor, Jens Franke.
