First available in 2008 as part of the Complete Hindemith Edition, Rondo is now available for the first time in a single edition.
Hindemith wrote his trio movement in the original version for 3 guitars in 1930 - originally intended as a middle piece in the cantata Wanderlieder and a composition commissioned by the "Days for New Music Berlin" under the motto Games and Songs for Children. The composer had to leave his manuscript sources behind in Germany in 1938, but later remembered the small work when compiling the list of unpublished pieces. The original version of Hindemith's Rondo for 3 guitars was first published in 2008 as part of the Hindemith Complete Edition and is now also available as a separate edition for the first time.
