Selected Studies for Guitar
In the flourishing guitar scene of the 19th century, Dionisio Aguado occupied a prominent position. Born in Madrid in 1784, he began studying the instrument at a very early age and quickly became a skilled virtuoso. He devoted much of his life to writing several editions of his famous New Guitar Method, in which he comprehensively explains the technical, didactic and aesthetic aspects of the instrument and its repertoire.
We have selected the best pieces from this masterwork and arranged them in order of difficulty: 67 pieces, including the efficacious group of 27 Studies that comprise the third part of the original volume. The enclosed CD features all the works played by Giulio Tampalini.
