2018 marked the 70th anniversary of the death of Manuel María Ponce Cuéllar which we started celebrating with the publication of a new critical edition of Ponce’s 24 Preludios. Now we are pleased to continue our tribute with this anthology of six works prepared from the original autograph manuscripts of the composer by Stefano Grondona, a magisterial interpreter of Ponce’s music.

The works have been carefully selected because of their high quality, and also because they deserve a re-appraisal having not had the benefit of ever having been either performed or recorded by Andrés Segovia.

The accompanying audio-CD by Stefano Grondona contains all six works plus 4 bonus tracks: the Andante from the Sonata II (Thorens) and the famous Tres canciones populares mexicanas published by Segovia in 1928.
