Telemann's fluid, elegant style already paved the way for the classical era. For this reason, the guitarist hardly has to play any passages here, but almost exclusively chords. However, these often place considerable demands on the fingering technique. The new edition, prepared by José de Azpiazu (1912-1986), one of the most famous guitarists of the 20th century, has skilfully adapted the accompaniment section to the style of playing on today's guitar.
