The composition of the Tango del Vértigo results from a commission from the Jeunesses Musicales du Brabant Wallon on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Kaléidoscope de la Guitare (guitar festival in Rixensart, Belgium).
This work was premiered on October 10, 2015 by Roberto Aussel and the St. George Quintet at the Ferme de Froidmont (Rixensart, Belgium).
This work was commissioned by the Jeunesses Musicales du Brabant Wallon on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Kaleidoscope of the guitar (Rixensart guitar festival, Belgium). The whole is not easy, but constitutes a very pleasant music as much for the performers as for the listeners. This fantasy is a sort of mini-concerto in which guitar and string quintet (quartet plus double bass) dialogue continuously even if the guitar obviously has pride of place. This tango takes us into a South American atmosphere of the best quality. Everything is remarkably written which will not come as a surprise from this guitarist and composer with a promising career.
