This volume contains a selection of the most famous pieces for guitar by the Polish Alexandre Tansman. The selection allows advanced students to get to know the music of a composer who left his mark by freeing the guitar from the Latin American stereotype associated with this instrument.
The collection includes some new, previously unpublished versions of his Suite in modo polonico (1964), Pièce en forme de passacaille (1953), Quattro tempi di Mazurka (1967) and Homage à Lech Wasa (1982).
