The Young Sprout
[Solo Guitar]
Japanese koto music by Minoru Miki - arranged by Leo Brouwer
Leo Brouwer was fascinated by Minoru Miki's music used as the soundtrack for the Franco-Japanese film The Empire of the Senses (1976) by Nagisa Ôshima, based on a true story of love and death in 1930s Japan. It was precisely the main theme of the film, The Young Sprout , which Brouwer versioned for guitar five years later with the author's knowledge.
This edition has been exhaustively revised by Ricardo Gallén, who included new fingerings and articulations.
