[Solo Guitar]

Two popular songs from the Troilo Suite, which Piazzolla dedicated to his benefactor Anibal Troilo, as guitar solos!
The 4th Piazzolla series played with a guitar solo!

Virtuoso Sebastian Pompilio, Argentinian master of Piazzolla's works, arranged the 4th "Piazzolla series played on the guitar", the masterpiece "Troilo" dedicated by Piazzolla to his former benefactor Anibal Troilo. It is a set piece of two particularly popular songs from "Suite", <Whiskey> and <Escolaso> (Bakuchi).

<Whiskey>, which begins with a tumbling descending phrase and an impressive interaction with a riff, is led by a heavyweight beat and a strong rock-style riff.
In the middle part, the lyrical melody is beautifully sung.

In <Escolaso>, the rock-based riff that appears at the beginning of the song changes its appearance from beginning to end as a motif and is scattered throughout the song.
This is a masterpiece of "rock and roll style" tango that thrashes around freely with the best of Piazzolla's composition techniques.

At the time of the release of Troilo Suite, Piazzolla was leading an electronic orchestra and was trying to approach rock music.
Pompilio's arrangement has succeeded in skillfully reconstructing this band's sound as a guitar solo song with amazing ideas and excellent taste.
